A day at Anaheim's Packing District

So I've been stoked to try all of the different spots that the new Anaheim Packing District has to offer since its grand opening 2 weeks back. We took my buddy Neil out for his birthday to one of his favorite burger joints, Umami Burger.

It was right next to the Anaheim Packing House and was definitely in a primo spot next to the main street. I got the Truffle Especiale burger and cheesy tots (an off menu item) which are extremely delicious. Words can not do justice to describe how extremely flavorful the burger was, a perfectly cooked and runny yoke and juicy meat patty left me wanting more. The arugula salad was just enough greens on this burger to offset the savoriness of the burger as a whole.

We then made our way to the Anaheim Packing House for some dessert. My buddy Carlo wanted to try out the custom made popsicles at the Pop Bar and the long lines did not discourage us. One look at the mint chocolate dip peaked my interest. I recommend the Pistachio popsicle dipped in dark mint-chocolate, it's like eating a popsicle sized version of those fancy pillow mints. Amazeballs.

We finished it up with an impromptu quick photoshoot of Carlo's classic Karmann Ghia on a gorgeous sunny Saturday. This immaculate beauty of a car is in its' second stage of restoration. It has come a long ways with a larger engine and upgraded transmission. Enjoy the pics below, I know I enjoyed taking them!

A day in the field of flowers

The final days of the season were upon us to glimpse the Carlsbad field of flowers. Every year, from May to March, Carlsbad displays a technicolor of flowers as far as the eye can see.

What better way to spend Mother's day than taking your beloved Madre to see beautiful flowers right? I highly recommend anyone to take this nice trip down to Carlsbad. It's a little less than an hour and half from Orange County and there's a great outlet nearby that we also enjoyed.

Sometimes you have to stop and smell the roses.
